25th Rendez-vous Rustico

On July 27th & 28th the Conseil acadien de Rustico organized its 25th Rendez-vous Rustico.

2 days of festivities, good food, fun, music, sport and dance.

On July 27th the duathlon was the opening event for the weekend. Just after the race we had the opening ceremony in the presence of PEI Prime Minister, the Honourable Dennis King.

The rest of the day was all about family with a kermesse and the evening we had a square dance with two members of the group DOC playing the music.

July 28th was all about traditions. In the morning we had the bilingual mass at Saint-Augustine’s church, followed with the Acadian flag rise and the free BBQ.

And during the afternoon, a new partnership with la Fédération culturelle de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard offered a new activity to the community, the ARTisans market.

And if we talk about traditions, of course we think about the Acadian super and Lennie Gallant concert!
