What is the Rustico 300! challenge?

2020 is the 300th anniversary of the arrival of the first French on Prince Edward Island and for the occasion, the Centre acadien de Rustico has decided to challenge you!

Behind the Centre we have a beautiful trail, the Sentier de nos Racines. Your mission will consist on doing at least 300 laps of the trail by April 13th 2020!

This website, thanks to the form below, will be one of the places where you’ll be able to let us know how many laps you’ve done!

Every week we’ll count the numbers of laps made and we’ll materialize it by putting stickers on an PEI map (1 lap = 1 sticker).

There’s strength in unity so do not hesitate to invite your friends, family and acquaintances to participate and to reach the goal of 300 laps faster!

At the end of the Challenge, we’ll offer you a celebration “depending” on the number of maps filled!

One map filled (300 laps done and so 300 stickers placed on the map) and we’ll offer you a hot-dog BBQ and a face-painting stand for the kids.

Between 2 and 4 maps filled (600 to 1200 laps) and we’ll add to the celebration, a camp fire, Smore’s and the kermesse!

5 and more maps filled (over 1 500 laps) and you can count on the BBQ, the face-painting stand, the camp fire, the Smore’s, the kermesse, some live music and a square dance!
